Des scientifiques américains aident la Tunisie à améliorer le système de prévision météorologique

US Scientists to Help Tunisia Upgrade Weather Forecasting System

Scientists from the US National Weather Service and Tunisia's National Institute of Meteorology are set to sign an agreement to modernize Tunisian weather forecasting facilities. The agreement aims to pursue a long-term goal of overall improvement of weather forecast modelling, which will more accurately predict weather conditions for locusts, storms and floods.
At a recent workshop in Tunis, scientists from both countries discussed the upgrading of weather radar systems throughout the country and hydrologic forecasting technologies that could be applied in Tunisia. (Usinfo)
